As the copywriter and copy editor for the Portland Mercury‘s Portland Burger Week, I worked alongside account executives, art directors, and restaurateurs to ensure the success of the eagerly awaited annual event that promotes more than 50 restaurants across Portland. With strict deadlines and ridiculous amounts of information to convey—hours, locations, restrictions, individualized sales pitches for every one-of-a-kind burger—I strategized and wrote copy that presented it all in a vibrant, accessible package.
